Meet the Team
Ryan Fawden
Operations & Contracts Manager
Ryan has over 12 years’ experience in the industry. He started through the apprenticeship route with CITB gaining his qualifications at the Bircham Newton training facility. In 2016, he completed his Advanced Scaffolding and Inspection course. Ryan joined MCS Scaffolding from the beginning and has played a vital role in helping the company become what it is today.
Ryan oversees projects from start to finish. From supporting clients with quotations, planning the works, managing the team on site, as well as supporting the administration team back in the office.
Ryan firmly believes in the company ethos of providing a high-quality service at a competitive price and is committed to ensuring all customers receive the same high standard of service.
Laura French
Operations Administrator
Behind the scenes, Laura supports Ryan with every aspect of projects. From creating quotes, applying for licences, sending handover documents and producing invoices, Laura assists with it all.
Laura has been with MCS Scaffolding team for over 3 years and shares our company passion for providing clients with a high-quality service. She is always ready to help with any questions or queries.
Exceeding Customer Expectations
We pride ourselves on exceeding our customers’ expectations and all our employees are trained to the highest standards with CITB and CISRS. Our workforce ranges from advanced scaffolders, supervisors, to trainee apprentices looking to get into the industry.
With our base at Newton Abbott, we have the ability to offer our expertise anywhere in southwest, covering the majority of Devon from coast to coast. MCS cater for a variety of scaffolding projects large or small, including large bespoke new builds, apartment blocks, churches, temporary roofs, propping & support, temporary containment, industrial scaffolding roofing access, decoration access, domestic and industrial works, and local authority infrastructure maintenance.
Health and safety is of the upmost importance for us as a company to ensure all our employees and scaffold user are as safe as possible while at work. We have our own NEBOSH Construction health and safety advisor, as well as support from SSG training and Consultancy.
We are a SMAS worksafe contractor and an assessed member of the Scaffolding association. All projects are completed with RAM’s, TG20:21 compliance sheet, handover certificate, inspection tag, and are photographed after erection. All this information is emailed to all the parties involved. We are also able to assist with weekly inspections if required.

MCS Scaffolding Ltd is a scaffolding company based in the Southwest. Our projects cover the whole of the Southwest- Devon, Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset.
