The scaffold was provided for restoration and maintaince works to the ceiling in Silverton Church. The scaffold allowed the highly skilled craftsmen full access to the ceilings whilst doubling up as a protection scaffold to the public. Whilst works were being carried out the discovery of Rare Tudor ceiling was unearthed. However, all Tudors ceiling had thought to have been recorded and this new discovery was the largest Tudor find in century’s. The main isle of the church had to be kept free from scaffold so that the church could still operate as normal but on a smaller capacity.
